Details

Similan Explorer will take you diving and snorkeling to the Similan Islands, Richelieu Rock and its whale sharks.

The Similans are a collection of Islands that promise great diving with varied topography and plenty of fish life. The area is a protected National Park and is generally considered to be Thailand's premier dive destination. Similan liveaboards usually also visit Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon and Koh Tachai, where encounters with larger creatures such as Sharks, Manta Rays and Whale Sharks are more frequent.

What you can expect

The 25m MV Similan Explorer is a great option to explore the underwater beauty of the Similan Islands. Dive with Manta Rays at Koh Bon, Whale Sharks at Richelieu Rock and beautiful reefs at the Surin Islands. Walk on pristine beaches and trek into the jungle as the M/V Similan Explorer takes you on adventures to the Similan Islands of the Andaman Sea.

The MV Similan Explorer dive liveaboard has 8 cabins catering to 18 guests. Four Twin bunk cabins and two quad cabins can be found on the Main Deck, these are fitted with curtains for each berth bed for your privacy. The Upper Deck has 2 Double bed cabins. All cabins have air conditioning, sea-view windows and shared bathrooms.

For relaxation, guests can choose the Lounge & Dining areas. The Dining area consists of 1 table on the port side and 2 tables on the starboard side so there is ample room for dining, the sides of the boat are open so you can enjoy the good weather to the maximum.

There is a large collection of fish identification books in several languages, your Dive Guide will enjoy explaining about the fish you have seen together, the dining area is a great place to relax and read a book.
We also have a TV and DVD player so any videos made on the trip can be reviewed.

The Sun Deck has lots of room for getting your tan, there are sundeck chairs under the shaded area at the back of the sun deck. This is a nice place for spotting Dolphins, Manta Rays and Whale Sharks while travelling to new dive sites and up here you're always the one to spot the Dolphins first.
