The first vessel of the Blue O Two fleet to venture into the Maldives was M/Y Blue Voyager.
Crafted with the diver's needs in mind, this vessel had initially embarked on its maritime journey in the Red Sea. Welcoming aboard 26 divers, M/Y Blue Voyager offers a contemporary and spacious setting, ensuring an unparalleled diving experience in the Maldives.
M/Y Blue Voyager stands as a 37-meter steel-hulled ship, boasting three commodious double cabins and ten twin cabins. The vessel features an indoor dining area, a well-appointed bar, and an elevated sky lounge, all complemented by the presence of a Jacuzzi. A shaded outdoor lounge area graces the Mid Deck, and there are four distinct sun decks: a viewing deck situated at the forefront of both the Mid Deck and Upper Deck, an open-air deck on the Top Deck, and an ocean deck located at the rear of the vessel. All these decks offer plush seating and comfortable loungers.
The ocean deck, a distinctive attribute, allows passengers to unwind in the open air while staying in close proximity to the water. On many evenings, the floodlights illuminate the water just off the ocean deck, attracting plankton and subsequently manta rays and whale sharks. Numerous close encounters with feeding mantas and whale sharks have been recorded, making it a prime opportunity for avid photographers.
A standout feature of M/Y Blue Voyager is the specially designed dhoni (diving support vessel) named Blue Shadow. This 19-meter dhoni boasts ample space, impressive speed, and modern amenities to cater to divers' needs. Each diver is allocated their own station with sufficient storage space for their equipment, and the dhoni's crew is always ready to provide assistance. During the transit to and from the dive sites, passengers can ascend the small stairs to the top deck to bask in the sun and enjoy breathtaking vistas. Facilities include a toilet with a shower on the main deck, along with two handheld showers on the back deck, as well as separate rinse tanks for cameras and equipment. Equipped with a powerful engine, two generators, and two compressors with a nitrox membrane system, the Blue Shadow ensures a top-tier diving experience in the Maldives.
