The Mamanucas is an archipelago of around 20 islands of which 7 remain submerged during high tide. These islands are located west of Nadi and south of Yasawa islands of Fiji. Mamanuca Islands are one of the most popular tourist destinations in Fiji. The island is a site of several very interesting activities for tourists. While not as good as Taveuni and Kadavu Islands, Mamanuca is still a very good diving area. The archipelago is stunningly beautiful with white sandy beaches and crystal clear turquoise water. The lagoons on these islands are beautiful and are great for snorkeling. There are all types of dive sites like lagoon reefs and drop-offs. There are also some very interesting wrecks including a very popular American Bomber. The underwater landscape is decorated with hard and soft corals, coral fish species and pelagic life. It is very common to see turtles, manta rays and several types of sharks. Some islands in the group have their own dive centers while others are serviced by independent dive operators. The popular resorts are Malolo Island Resort, Likuliku Lagoon, Castaway Island Resort, Mana Island Resort, Matamanoa Island Resort and island destinations of Tokoriki, Navini and Musket Cove Fiji.
