East Timor is a country in Southeast Asia. It is on the eastern side of the island of Timor and also the smaller islands of Atauro and Jaco and a small area, named Oecussi-Ambeno, inside the west side of Timor. That area is an exclave, which means it is separated from the main part of the country by part of another country. That other country is Indonesia. Here's the map.
Pertimener Pier - Excellent for the macro enthusiast, as well as octopus and schooling Barracuda.
The Pinnacle - a small reef outcrop just outside the Dili Harbour. Good as a night dive as it attracts local reef sharks and turtles.
Pulau Atauro Island - East Timor's most pristine diving area. Visibility is always excellent and the bio-diversity and unspoilt nature of the coral reefs is simply fantastic. Hundreds of fish and huge pelagics; this ia a drift dive.
